Marko Kallio, PhD, Principal Consultant

Marko holds a PhD in human genetics and has over 20 years of experience in cell biology and oncology R&D. He worked in the USA for five years before settling down in Finland. His previous positions include Assistant Professor of Research at OUHSC, USA, Head of Drug Discovery Research Team at University of Turku, Finland, and Research Coordinator at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Marko has extensive experience in operational management of large commercial drug development projects and strong scientific managerial skills. His large co-operation network includes professionals from both academy and industry. He is an author of over 50 peer-reviewed cell and cancer biology publications.

At Biorock Consultancy Marko leads the business operations and development.
